Healthy Breakfast Ideas | Back To School

Hello Everybody,
It seems like forever since I did a blog post, but in reality it was less than a week ago. Here I have put together (and test

ed) some healthy, quick and yummy breakfast ideas-perfect for going back to school.

Natural Yoghurt

Adding different fruits again to some natural, low fat yoghurt can make a healthy breakfast. I like to add a handful of oats on top to give me extra energy throughout the day, and to thicken the mixture.

Porridge

Porridge is one of my favourite things to have for breakfast. It can be made with oats and water, but I prefer it with milk instead of water. The oats will give you a slow release of energy throughout the day.
To make it, simply add some oats into a pan before adding some milk, and cooking it on a low heat for about five minutes. If you prefer to use a microwave then pop it in for five minutes.
The great thing about porridge is that you can change the flavour of it to suit you, by adding different fruits and jam/honey. My personal favourites are Strawberry and Banana, Banana and Honey, Blueberries and a splodge of jam (any flavour).

Smoothies

Strawberry and Banana

Simply prepare some strawberries (roughly around the 250g mark) and chop up one peeled, banana. Add this to a blender along with some natural yoghurt (amount depending on how thick you want it-I usually add about three large spoonfuls) and blend until it's all nice and smooth.
Depending on what you like, you can also add some honey (I recommend about 15ml). To top it off, add some oats to give you extra energy!

Banana and Blueberry

This is another one of my favourites, and to make this simply add 1 cup of low fat yoghurt, 1 cup of blueberries, 1 (sliced) banana and 1 cup of milk to a blender and blend it all until smooth. To finish, add some oats to the top.

Stationary Haul | Back To School

Hello Everyone!
Today I wanted to share with you what I bought in preparation for going back to school, enjoy!

WHSmiths

From here, I picked up this pencil case for £6.99, and I know this is a lot for a pencil case but it was one of the only ones I liked, plus I thought it looked cool and reminded me of bubble wrap!

I then chose these Watercolour Pencils, in a pack of 24, for my art homework, and at the time these were on offer for £6.99, but before it was £9.99. I have tested these out and they blend easily, and have lovely colours.

For £4.89 in the sale (was £6.99) I purchased 15 felt tips, with a triangular grip. These are actually really good quality and also come in a pack of 30!

Sainsburys

Okay, not my ordinary "go to" shop to buy stationary, but I picked up this eight piece maths set for around 2-3 pounds I believe. I also got these Staedtler fineliners for around £4.

Wilko

I, for one, am one big lover of Wilko and when I saw these I immediately bought them. These fine-liners were £2.75

Paper Towns Review | Film

Good Morning!
Recently I went to see the new film 'Paper Towns' based on a well known novel, by John Green. Here is the plot in a nutshell, along with my review of the film.

Plot

After a series of pranks that last all night, Quentin's lifelong crush, Margo (Cara Delevingne), disappears... Again. She leaves Quentin (Nat Wolff) a series of clues behind that Q (along with his two best friends (Radar and Ben), Margo's friend Lacey and Radar's girlfriend Angela) follow on a 'road-trip of a lifetime'.

My Review

To me, this film was not as good as expected. As harsh as I sound, I lost interest when Quentin was in the middle of finding all the clues Margo left behind. It seemed to perk up again on the road-trip which has some funny snippets, but when Q eventually finds Margo it all seemed a little bit pointless when it turns out she actually didn't want him to follow the clues she left behind. This made me think why she left so many and not just a few?
My favourite part had to be when the two (Margo and Quentin) pull hilarious pranks through the night. Overall, I rate it a 6/7 out of 10, it was just as much about Q's friendship with his two best friends as it was about his relationship with Margo.

New Makeup

Hello Everybody!
So as you will have noticed, I have not been active in what seems like forever but I'm back now, and here are the new makeup additions to my makeup bag. Also, I apologise in advance for the bad picture quality, it will soon improve.

"Watts Up Highlighter" - Benefit

On my birthday (which was a couple weeks ago) I received this amazing highlighter as one of my presents from my parents. It's champagne colour gives me a nice warm glow, which is still natural. It comes with a handy blender on the opposite end of the packaging allowing you too "sculpt" the product to your desire. Although it is a little on the pricey side, I would say the highlighter is definitely worth the purchase!

"Roller Lash" - Benefit

This was the first time I spent this much money on a mascara, but I love it! Although it claims to be "super curling", I have only seen a slight curl but to me it is no major issue. The wand spreads the product evenly on my lashes, and with little to no clumps. I look more awake after I use this which is a bonus if you're like me and have a lot of early starts (school, work etc).

"Velvet Teddy" - MAC

After hearing many reviews about this lipstick, I attempted to find it in my nearest store which proved difficult. I then received it for my birthday and I am in love with it! This product is long lasting and doesn't dry my lips as much as I thought it would-as it's a "Matte" finish. Overall, it's a lovely colour and one of my favourite shades!

"Blankety" - MAC

Bought in Germany with Everything Anything, "Blankety" was my first ever MAC purchase. It's such a lovely nude pink colour, and is part of the "Amplified" collection/range. It has a little shine/shimmer to it and I wear it to work.

"Popcorn" Lip Scrub - Lush

In case you didn't already know, a Lip Scrub is basically like a lip exfoliate but at the same time it moisturizes it. To use it, gently rub the scrub onto your lips (with a clean finger) and then rub your lips together-here comes the best part! You can lick this off your lips because it's literally made of sugar! This one smells and tastes like popcorn but you can get many different flavours!
